Newest version of Western Allstars 07 rules

2007 Series Rules
1)WEIGHT
a. 2300 pounds. ANYTIME
2) Standard dirt latemodel bodies.
• OEM style nose piece. No wedge noses.
• No side boards.
• Minimum drivers side window opening 12”.
• Spoiler 8” tall
• Max deck height 38”.
3) ENGINE
• Engine set back max 8” from #1 spark plug to center of left ball joint.
• 1 Carburetor – Naturally aspirated.
• All cars must be self-starting.
4) WHEELS AND TIRES
• MAX 14” wide wheels
• Hoosier D 55 spec, WRS or WRS-2. Grooving, siping, grinding ok. Must durometer no lower than 52 ANYTIME. NO TOLERANCE.
5) TRANSMISSION
• Must have forward and reverse gears.
6) SAFETY
• Mufflers required 95 db's @ 100 ft. If a car loses a muffler they will be blacked flagged for that race. (heat race, B-Main, A-Main etc.)
• Approved fuel cell w/ safety valve. No bottom feed fittings( fuel fitting under fuel cell)
• Driveline strap or enclosure is required.
• Steel Driveshafts are not reccomended
• All driveshafts must be painted white or silver
• NO elec fuel pumps.
• Window nets or arm restraints are required
• Raceciever radio's required.(points races only) Recommended at all events. No 2-way radios.
• All lead must be painted white w/car #. ALL lead must be double bolted with ½ bolts. Any car losing a piece of lead ANYTIME thru out the night will be disqualified for entire night. (If you can't mount your lead good enough in your shop, then there is no way you can mount it good enough at the track)
7) MISC.
• NO TRACTION CONTROL DEVICES
• Drivers name must be legible from grandstands on both sides of the car and front of roof.
• Certain sponsor decals will be required for max payout, points fund, contingencies and end of year giveaways.
• Large contrasting colored Numbers on roof and sides.
8) TECH
• All cars must pass thru tech before hot lapping.
• Pill draw to establish qualifying order.
• All cars must scale before qualifying.
9) RACE PROCEDURES
• Flagman is to start initial start of race. Pole sitter is to set a reasonable pace. Anyone jumping before the Green flag is waved on initial start will be penalized 1 row for 1st offense and to the tail of the field for 2nd offense.All races will be started with a duel cone system. 2 cones will be set in turn 4 aprox. 30 ft. apart. The Pole sitter or leader is responsible for starting all restarts. If pole sitter/leader alters his pace (jack rabbit start, break checking) he will be put to tail of field. If ANYONE jumps before first cone they will be penalized 1 row for 1st offense and tail of field for 2nd offense. If pole sitter/leader does not start by the 2nd cone, to bad for him, the race is on.
• If there is a caution flag before the 1st lap is scored and only 1 car is involved, that car will be sent to the tail of the field. If more than 1 car is involved in a caution before 1 lap is scored, all cars will get there original starting spot back for complete restart.
• Restarts will be double file w/leader in front row alone. 2nd position will pick high or low with 3rd place taking other position. 4th place on back will line up in regular positions. 2 chances on double file restarts and then next restart will be single file.
• No racing back to yellow flag except on final lap of race. If white flag has been thrown you better race to the checkered/yellow.
• When a caution flag is thrown all cars must get in a single file for scoring purposes and then double up when instructed.
Except lap one, anyone involved in a caution will be sent to rear of field and lined up according to the position they were running on last scored lap.
• Any driver that is involved in 2 single car cautions will be black flagged.
WESTERN ALLSTARS OFFICIALS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE AND OR ALTER RULES AND PROCEDURES IN THE INTEREST OF FAIR COMPETITION. (No rule or situation is perfect)
