Western Allstars nots and winners 5-26-07
It was a great night to spectate at Bakersfield Speedway as it was A very clean night of racing and the races were over at 10:10. We had a great Main Event with anyone of the top 3 having a shot at winning. But who is going to be the hero that stops the domination of Mike Johnson. With all of the competition on the Western Allstars it can't be possible for his win streak to continue much longer. It was the Western Allstars smallest car count of the year with 30 Super Dirt Late Models in the pits. Although I know any other racing venue would be thrilled with a car count of 30, I am disapointed. (but I have been told once of twice before that I am hard to please) Thank you to Bakersfiled Speedway and the Western Allstars officials for a very smooth night of racing entertainment. And a special thank you to Jeffrey Priddy for letting fellow competitor Chris Shannon borrow his back up car. That was an act of class and true sportsmanship. Western Allstars 5-12 Kings Speedway
May 15 2007 -- Western Allstars 5/12 Notes & Winners
Steiner Racing keeps domination of WAS points races going. With Mike Johnson 3rd win in a row, that means that a Steiner Racing Victory Circle Chassis has won all 4 points races on the Western Allstars this year. With 33 cars at Kings Speedway on Saturday and a car count average of 37.25 at the Western Allstars points races this year, that is quite an accomplishment. It was nice having a few new racers with us this year. Jeff Decker, Danny Bohard and Doug Hayes all made their first appearances of the year. We also had Bill Pearson tow down from Reno, NV and John Duty make the 13 1/2 hour tow from Portland, OR. It was also a sweep of the top 3 in the A-Main for Victory Circle Chassis with Johnson, Decker and Chris Shannon finishing 1,2,3. I was also impressed by the run of Larry Cildress and Clarke Gugliemoni . I would like to thank all of the Racers and fans for supporting the WAS @ Kings Speedway. I would also like to thank all of the Kings Speedway officials for keeping the show going on a night when we had 5 classes (3 open wheel). And of course, as usual, all of the Western Allstars Officials,who made my job easy last night, so that I could just ride my Bicycle around and yell on my Bull Horn and shoot T-shirts. Man we have great peole working with us. I would also like to thanks the Bud girls, just because.
